The Health Management Internship Program (HMIP) offers committed, high-potential Interns the opportunity to develop the skills, capabilities and knowledge required to start a career in managing the challenges and complexities of health service delivery across NSW. The program includes:

  1. Employment in a NSW Health organisation, gaining skills and knowledge through supervised structured workplace experience
  2. An industry-recognised postgraduate academic qualification in Health Administration
  3. Professional development activities which offer Interns the opportunity to prepare themselves for a career managing the challenges and complexities of health service delivery across NSW  in public, private and not for profit organisations.

Congratulations to the recent Graduates of the Health Management Internship Program. The ceremony and celebrations were held in the offices of our sponsor Hall and Willcox with friends, family, placement organisation coordinators, College executives and guests.

NSW HMIP Graduation 2021

Congratulations to the Health Management Intern Program 2018-19 & 2019-20 graduates who celebrated completing their two year programs at their formal graduation event held on Thursday May13 2021 at the Kirribilli Club. The graduates received their certificates in the presence of their friends and family, and many of their placement supervisors, coordinators, chief executives and colleagues, along with College executives and other guests.

The graduates were presented with their certificates by Karen Patterson, NSW Branch President. The Stan Williams Young Leader Awards for consistently excellent performance, academic achievement and participation were presented by National President Dr Neale Fong, Graeme Loy CE WSLHD, and Julie Babineau, CE Odyssey House NSW. The winners were Charlotte Davies (2019) and Siggy Haveland (2020). The Graduate Response speeches were given by Chad Leuwenburgh and Peta Andreone. Tracey Burton, Chief Executive of Uniting NSW ACT gave the Kevin Dodd Oration, with many pearls of wisdom for these emerging leaders as they embark on the next stage of their career journeys.
