ACHS

The Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving the quality of health care in Australia through continual review of safety and quality standards and accreditation. Established in 1974, it is recognised as the leading healthcare accreditation body in Australia and as an authority on the measurement and implementation of quality improvement systems. ACHS was established in 2005 as a wholly-owned subsidiary company and provides accreditation services across 17 countries to a diverse range of health service organisations.
In 2018, ACHS continues to work to support healthcare professionals, consumers, government and industry stakeholders in their pursuit of high quality and safe health services.
