As a key part of the SMHS executive team, the successful candidate will collaborate across functional areas and the wider health system to develop and implement organisational-wide strategies that ensure the delivery of exceptional nursing and midwifery services and patient care.
Working with like-minded nursing and midwifery professionals, you will develop, foster and support a culture aligned to SMHS’ values that promotes and supports clinical excellence in nursing and midwifery through education, professional development and research.
Your contribution will enhance the delivery of high quality, safe and effective public hospital and community health care services across the SMHS catchment area and in our statewide services, spanning a quarter of WA’s population and stretching more than 3300 square kilometres across the southern half of Perth.

This is a Fixed Term Full Time appointment for 5 years with the possibility of extension(s).
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other “similar” vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of six (6) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
